Kids, JOIN US THIS SUMMER FOR URBAN SKETCHING

KIDS URBAN SKETCH CLUB MEETS THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER IN LINCOLN, NE

Pack up a sack lunch, a blanket, art supplies, sunblock, and snacks and enjoy an hour of Urban Sketching twice a month. We will meet at locations like the Sunken Gardens, the Haymarket, Tower Square, Pioneer Park and more to draw our surroundings!

URBAN SKETCHING STARTER KIT

All artists will receive a:

Travel Sized Sketchbook
Travel Set of Watercolors
2 Sharpies
T-Shirt

WEEKLY URBAN SKETCH CHALLENGES

The goal is to have your child’s sketchbook filled by the time school starts. They will get a drawing challenge each week to complete in their sketch book.

 The Urban Sketch Social App

Your artist will be a part of an invite-only community of young artists. The app allows them to message new friends, share art, and make new life-long friendships.

The Art Gang App has:
– Calendar with all important dates and locations
– Reminders before each event
– Weekly drawing challenges
– A place to post their art and message new friends

Mistakes are Beautiful!

She has really taken to the whole “mistakes are beautiful” idea, especially when it comes to art, but I think also as a mantra for life in general as well. It’s also a fun space where she doesn’t feel like she has to earn a specific grade, unlike art class at school.

Lincoln Kids Urban Sketch Club

  • We will meet over lunch, twice a month at 7 locations around Lincoln
  • Includes Art Kit ($40 value)
  • Weekly Urban Sketching prompts

  • We welcome both girls and boys from 7-14 (parents can sketch too)
  • Pack your art kit, a blanket to sit on, sack lunch, sunscreen & bug spray.

Hi, I’m Jen. I am passionate about encouraging kids at a young age to believe in themselves.

That is why I created the Art Gang.
It’s an art club that:

❤️ Helps with socialization skills
❤️ Boosts self-esteem
❤️ Fuels the imagination
❤️ Encourages problem-solving skills

The Urban Sketch Club will empower your child to believe in themselves.

We will visit a variety of urban sketching locations around Lincoln, Ne, and as well as your child will be given weekly prompts that have the underlying goal to fill their sketchbook by the end of summer and increase their creative thinking skills.
